Wickr is actually quite good and easy to use when communicating but the customer service side and especially the legal department are horrendous. I had came across a scammer who uses Wickr and posts fake reviews online selling drugs, counterfeit money, weapons etc and had emailed customer service 3 times in July and once in August. They finally got back to me after a really long time and had requested the Wickr user ID, date of contact, screenshots of activity and whether I have contacted legal authorities. I had given the information that they had requested and was told to send an email to legal at wickr dot com which I did and they never responded. I sent 3 in July to then 2 in August. I’ve sent them another email a few days ago and they had actually responded which is really shocking since I’m pretty sure they’re just gonna ignore it with all my other emails. I’ve sent them screenshots again and can even get a recording of this person stating that he is selling drugs using Wickr as well as counterfeit money etc.Although Wickr can’t see the user’s messages the least they should do is delete this scammers account so he will have to go through the whole process of having to advertise his scams again which will cause him trouble. Wickr has stated that there is nothing they can do from preventing them from making another account but if another account is made the username will have to be different for the scammer which will be trouble for him and can at least stop people from falling for it.As far as I’m concerned the legal team/department at Wickr is completely rubbish and useless and I hope whoever is at the top does something to weed out potential threats or con artists that use it.I would’ve given it 5 stars but Wickr’s lack of response and care brought it down to a 3.
